Ministries

Many ministries have expanded in the vision of the people of Calvary Baptist Church. These ministries are a vital part of continued success in the Colonial Heights area. They include Sunday School for all ages, youth and teen ministries, such as AWANA, kids club and Teen Bible studies and outings. Calvary Junior Saints for middle aged adults and Senior Saints for those 50 and up provide extra activities for all remaining age groups.

Purpose PURPOSE
P.U.R.P.O.S.E is our youth group for all students from grades 7 - 12. This Ministry helps our young people build a closer relationship with Jesus Christ while preparing them for all the Lord has for them. Email the Youth Pastor Dan Frost.

Awana AWANA
"Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" This is the theme of the AWANA program. Students are taught to learn and apply God's Word to their lives through Scripture memorization and solid Bible teaching. It's a FUN way to learn.

Missions
Through the faithful prayers and support of God's people, we are able to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout all the world.

Upward Basketball
"Upward" is an evangelistic sports ministry dedicated to promoting community outreach, developing volunteer leadership in local churches, and sharing the love of Christ with children and their families.

Music Music Ministry
Our dynamic music program features programs for people of all ages. Our children, adult, and youth choirs boldly proclaim Christ through cantatas, musical dramas, and special music.

Sunday School
Knowing the Word of God is an important part of being God's Children. We have Sunday School for all ages to learn the Bible and grow closer to Our Lord.

Deaf Ministry
Calvary Baptist Church is committed to reaching the deaf and hard of hearing in our community. Our deaf ministry provides inspiration for those with hearing problems.

Prison Ministry
Our Prison Ministry is a non-profit volunteer ministry focused on reaching troubled youth. Our volunteers minister unto those in prison through fellowship, prayer and weekly Bible studies.
